Saul Sanchez

Saul Sanchez was part of the iJay Practicum from Spring to Fall 2025 (Cohorts 23 & 24) as a member of the Data Analytics Team, and Saul will graduate in 2027. During his time in the iJay Practicum, Saul strengthened his data analysis abilities and exposed himself to different softwares that he never thought he was would be using. Additionally, Saul also got hands-on experience in running a retail store.

Currently, Saul is a Financial Services Office Audit Intern at Ernst & Young. Looking forward to the future, he will definitely apply how to collaborate and work with people from all types of backgrounds. Saul is eager to apply the lessons of the practicum in personal and professional life. His next steps are in the Portfolio Practicum and continuing his journey at EY.

"We accomplished the implementation of tableau, the creation of a sales dashboard, updated the SOP, compare OPT-In and summer preview data, implement google looker studio, analyze online foot traffic store traffic."

For Saul, a key part of the practicum was collaboration, as he worked closely with a team to ensure our findings were consistent and aligned with project goals. They divided responsibilities, shared insights regularly, and combined their analyses into a unified presentation. This strengthened Saul's teamwork and communication skills, especially when presenting technical findings in a clear and concise way to both peers and faculty advisors. He also developed strong adaptability, as project requirements often shifted and required him to adjust his analysis approach or refine his data cleaning methods under time constraints. Managing multiple tasks and deadlines throughout the project significantly improved Saul's time management skills.
