Sam Garrett

Sam Garrett completed the iJay Practicum program in Spring 2019 (Cohort 11) as a member of the Brand & Events team, graduating from Creighton University that same year in 2019. His experience managing cross-functional teams and building cohesive brand experiences at iJay shaped his approach to leadership and organizational success.

Currently, Sam serves as Corporate Counsel at CompanyCam, where he applies the people-centered management philosophy he developed during the Practicum to navigate complex legal matters while ensuring each team member has the resources needed to excel.

During his time at iJay, Sam discovered a fundamental principle of effective leadership through his work on the Brand & Events team. By coordinating brand initiatives and event management, he learned that success comes not from rigid management structures, but from understanding each team member's strengths and providing them with the tools and positioning to thrive. This leadership philosophy, refined through hands-on experience managing diverse team functions at the Practicum, now guides his work as Corporate Counsel at CompanyCam, where empowering others and strategic positioning remain central to his professional approach.
