Kendra Lord

Kendra Lord completed the iJay Practicum program in Spring 2019 (Cohort 11) as a member of the Data Analytics team, before graduating from Creighton University in 2020. Her hands-on experience with data visualization and internal auditing at iJay established the analytical foundation that drives her career in governance, risk, and compliance.

Currently, Kendra serves as a Senior Analyst - Governance, Risk & Compliance at Brunswick Corporation, where she applies the data analysis expertise and audit methodology she developed during her two semesters in the Practicum to ensure organizational compliance and risk management.

"I was able to learn how to use Tableau at the Practicum my fall semester. Learning how to input data from excel, clean the data, and present it in a way to deliver actionable results was something I learned. In the spring semester of the iJay, I was on the audit team who conducted the first audit of the iJay. I worked with the Creighton Internal Audit Department and learned how to structure tests and complete accuracy and completeness tests with Paul T and the rest of the team."

During her fall semester at iJay, Kendra mastered Tableau for dashboard reporting, learning the complete data lifecycle from Excel input through cleaning to actionable presentation. Her spring semester brought a unique opportunity as part of the team conducting iJay's first internal audit, where she collaborated directly with Creighton's Internal Audit Department. This dual experience in data analytics and audit methodology proved invaluable, as the skills she gained in structuring tests and ensuring data accuracy and completeness now form the core of her governance and compliance work at Brunswick Corporation.
