Lily is currently majoring in Economics and Health Administration and Policy, with a minor in Business Administration. She is looking to start a Masters of Business Administration and Health Adminsitration program after she graduates in 2027. During her time in the Practicum, Lily helped to launch the Glowforge, contributing to planning and executing its rollout. She was involved in organizing Blue Friday and created a coordinated calendar to align events and improve planning. Lastly, she helped to run a giveaway each semester to boost engagement and increase participation, and Lily was awarded the honor of the Yoselin Deleon Memorial Award.
In Lily's role as a Health Administration major, she applies many of the skills she developed during her Practicum to her academic and professional experiences. Strong communication and teamwork are essential as Lily collaborates on group projects, research, and case studies focused on healthcare systems. Additionally, her ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and coordinate multiple responsibilities directly reflects the planning and execution skills Lily built during her time in the Practicum. Additionally, Lily is also a Clinical Liason Intern with Ensign Services.
"The ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently, with limited class time to discuss, plan, and launch initiatives, was essential. This constraint required us to communicate clearly, stay organized, and make the most of the time we do have together. As a result, we became more intentional in our planning, relying on strong teamwork and accountability outside of class."
During Lily's time in the Practicum, she strengthened key skills such as collaboration and communication through projects like the Glowforge launch, Blue Friday events, creating a coordinated event calendar, and organizing semester giveaways to increase engagement. She learned how to work effectively with a team despite limited class time by communicating clearly outside of meetings, delegating responsibilities, and staying organized to meet deadlines. These skills directly apply to her work as a Health Administration major today, where collaboration and communication are essential for group projects and understanding how healthcare organizations operate efficiently.
