Connect on LinkedIn →Kendall Hall completed the iJay Practicum program across two semesters - Fall 2025 (Cohort 24) and Spring 2026 (Cohort 25) - as a member of the Events and Outreach Team. Kendall is currently a rising senior, majoring in economics, marketing, and business intelligence and analytics. Kendall will be starting a new internship with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City this summer. During her time in the iJay Practicum, Kendall helped to host the first iJay Open House, implemented a new selection process for incoming practicum members, expanded the Creighton alumni database by 250%, and started the AIJay.
Kendall is starting a new position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City this summer. The iJay Practicum has been one of the most valuable experiences she has been able to speak to in interviews for internships and jobs. It gave Kendall clear examples of how she developed stronger time management and collaboration skills, and it has opened up a number of opportunities for me.
"Through planning recruitment, I learned the importance of consistent communication with both my team and Professor Jarmon. Staying aligned made the process more efficient and helped avoid miscommunication. I also realized how valuable it is to rely on others, people were always willing to help and often brought ideas or insights I wouldn’t have thought of on my own."
When you apply for iJay, you’re told you’ll gain hands-on, real-world experience, and that has definitely been true. What stood out to Kendall, though, is that you’re balancing this work alongside a full course load. There were a lot of days she came into class thinking about exams or other assignments, and it was easy to get distracted. Kendall had to learn pretty quickly that class time was often the only time her team was all together in person. If she wasn’t focused, it took away from the group’s ability to get things done. Being more intentional about staying present during that time made a noticeable difference. In addition to that, Kendall has developed practical skills that have carried over into her role in Alpha Kappa Psi and my internships. Overall, the experience has been a good mix of managing responsibilities and working in a more applied, team-based environment.
