William Matz

William Matz completed the iJay Practicum program across two semesters - Fall 2025 (Cohort 24) and Spring 2026 (Cohort 25) - as a member of the Data Analytics Team, and will graduate from Creighton University in 2026. Currently, William is a senior, majoring in computer science and actively searching for roles in this field. During his time in the iJay Practicum, William analyzed foot traffic, website traffic, and surveys to better understand how we can improve the iJay store and its operations overall.

"I learned how to use several new data analytics software systems quite well. I also learned how to analyze data in a business oriented way, gaining insights into current and past practices, as well as how to apply them going forwards."

William made and analyzed several surveys for the student and alumni bodies. He looked at foot traffic and web traffic data to gain an understanding into the store's success, researched options and worked with Creighton to figure out how to install a foot traffic monitor into the store, and finally, presented this data in a professional manner to faculty.
